Anyone else visually get revealed when using an ability in stealth? For example using shadow step while stealthed then getting revealed? I know it’s just visual and you still retain the buff so to everyone else you’re still invisible so it’s a minor bug and annoyance that I’d like to get looked at. Thanks.

According to the wiki: “Stealth can still be broken by succesfully using some non-damaging skills such as shadow stepping or teleporting.”

Stealth can be broken or blocked if you have reveal BUT yes, stealth has been broken and every time they FIX it for PVP it gets worse in PVE.
Things that have increased from last time they modified stealth:
~Using stealth but staying visible to yourself
~Using stealth and it doing nothing at all e.g. Blinding powder
~Monsters ignoring stealth and attacking anyway
~Monster AOEs (Random target ones like fire storm) targeting stealth players with one of the AOEs right off the bat rather then dispersing in a random pattern.

I play with alot of thieves and I hear these complaints all the time and having experienced them first hand I can tell you it’s annoying. Remember, unlike GW1, GW2’s skills do not function diffidently in PVP as they do in PVE so if they add a crutch for players in PVP to hit hidden players you will also see thieves in PVE get hit more.
Unfortunately this is working against classes like ele, ranger and thief.
So don’t worry, when some elite player finds an awesome pvp combo and pwns a bunch of noobs and they all come crying to the forms and ANet will again nerf the skills and that one useful skill that saves your life so much in PVE will become useless.
