Voice popups
Everyone is having this. It’s a bug that came with the latest patch. You’re hearing everyone on your map instead of just the NPCs and characters close to you.
This is actually brutal with 3d virtual sound, I normally was able to react to where people needed help and so on based on sound but when this happens I just go wtf and go to options to see if something has been autochecked, like the FoV slider doesn’t save.
Interestingly though, when this happens, you actually see your own characters mouth moving in time with the gender / race / class inappropriate speech.
So my male human mesmer actually lipsyncs with the voice of the female char necro.
Am having this issue too and its just plain annoying, yeah we can turn the voice slider down, but like Bjoerken said it gave you a clue to where npcs are, ppl that needed help etc.
Hearing your norn thief say for great justice in a char voice is creepy as well as trying to rez necro minions that she dont even have . . . please please fix this soon
heh – I was zoomed in on my dainty sylvari when she opened her mouth to yell ‘turrets deployed!’ in a male Charr voice. Was freaky and made me laugh.

And this is how I end up playing with the game muted until they fix this, somehow I can’t help but think it is this bug or the servers not working.
Pets have been hidden due to rising Player complaints.
This has become so annoying that I only log in for my log in reward everyday. I won’t even bother with the dailies until anet decides to fix this.
