Trait “Adrenal Health” (Defense Master Minor – 15 pts) says “Regenerate Health Based on Adrenaline Level.” However, this regeneration stops while your healing skill is on Cooldown. Nothing in the tooltip or the wiki suggests that this is the intended behavior.
I’ve tested with both Healing Signet and Mending.

To reproduce:
Take enough damage in combat so that your healing skill won’t heal you completely.
Activate your healing skill.
Note that your regeneration stops.

In case it helps:

Level 80.
Trait build: 20/15/15/0/15
Major traits: {V,X}/{V}/{II}//{V,X}

mine seems to be working fine. i was regenerating health with Mending and Healing Signet both on and off cooldown.

i actually logged on right after reading this because i dont think i could ever give it up. sorry to hear its not working for you. have you tried resetting your traits and getting it again? maybe it just messed up for some odd reason.

and to be clear, the trait doesnt add constant regeneration (like out of combat regen) and it isnt every second like healing signet. it should be healing every 3 seconds for about 360 health with full adrenaline.

Just tested this as well.
Since you mention lv80 I assume this is not in sPvP but was in in PvE or WvW?
I tested by standing next to a contested Grenth statue in Curse Shore. Easy and safe health loss.

I tried Healing Surge, Healing Signet, Mending, Prayer to Dwayna. Having them on cooldown did not have any effect on Adrenal Health.
