Guild Wars 2

So after some raids and FotMs I felt that something was wrong with my ground targeted skills, not casting them where I want but always on top of my currently targeted enemy. After some testing in Heart of the Mists it turns out that there is indeed a bug. I have tried it on multiple classes and it was easy to reproduce the bug.

My guess was that it had something to do with the lock ground target option, but after unchecking it and even turning Ground Targeting to Normal, it still occured. Also, when you don’t have a target the spell will always cast on top of yourself.

I don’t know if this is old news or not, but a lot of people I’ve talked to were not aware of this bug. Depending on the type of skill it can lead to a significant DPS loss or, as happened in the Fractal run that made me want to look into this, a wipe for the party.
