I’ve noticed that some bows salvage into iron ore instead of wood. Very peculiar indeed.
Some example salvages with Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic (10 items each):
Strong Bow (fine long bow) level 44 = 10 seasoned logs + 8 hard logs
Strong Longbow (fine long bow) level 45 = 18 iron ore
Strong Bow (fine long bow) level 46 = 13 seasoned logs + 2 hard logs
Strong Short Bow (fine short bow) level 44 = 16 seasoned logs
Strong Short Bow (fine short bow) level 45 = 15 iron ore
Strong Short Bow (fine short bow) level 46 = 17 seasoned logs + 2 hard logs

I’ve also noted that this happens with hearty, honed, rejuvenating, strong (fine, level 30 and level 45)
level 33, 38, and 43 versions of these same weapons give wood logs as expected
