Guild Wars 2

This effect appears on my character ever so often but does nothing (that i’m aware of), does anyone know what it is?

When you scroll over it, it just says “…”

And no i’m not talking about Signet of Shadows.

I’ve seen that also. I’m not entirely sure what it does. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Monster_skill It’s from Guild Wars 1. If anyone knows what it’s for please let us know.

Where is it happening? Might help narrow it down.

It looks like the WvW outnumberd icon.
If so it should only be visible in WvW then your server is outnumberd (and show added boost on mouseover)
Outside WvW it looks like a bug

That is nothing like the icon for WvW “Outmanned.”

Zappix is correct it’s the generic “monster skill” icon, so my guess is it’s a specific skill that some boss or creature cast on you. You need to tell us exactly where this has occurred, and then we could probably tell you the special effect used. Since it does “nothing” it’s probably a legacy skill that was put in beta into an event but never utilized.

Would like to know what it is

- some trait makes it?
- utility skill?
- weapon?, what kind?,what skill?
- easteregg?

from my experience, as a thief ofcourse, its the passive effect from the XII critical strikes trait line, giving you 100% critical chance in stealth
