The mouth of this JP is simply ridiculous again.

This happened back at the beginning of the Scarlett adventures, or about that time and was fixed.

It needs to be fixed again. If you do not hit the 1 pixel safe spots on the way down you pinball and die, before hitting the bottom. The ledges along the way down used to cause damage and stop you, so you could wait and heal if you hit them, now they just bounce you off to the next and wham bam two hit fatal combo.

Not even the oops you missed the water at the bottom and splatted. please fix.

It should not take 20 tries and give up, or mesmer tag teams with resurect orbs to safely get to the bottom.

And before people start in about I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been doing this JP since beta, and know it’s been broke before and fixed before.

Thank you

Don’t know if it’s "broken" as such (it’s not in my remit to kitten such things!), but I found equipping a fall damage trait worked. So it can be used as a temporary measure (assuming the fall is borked).

EDIT: Kitten filter! I used a word synonymous with evaluate, but apparently it was filtered for being an equine with large ears.

It’s broken — when it was like this before, the devs admitted it was tougher than they meant it to be and they “fixed” it so there would be safe spots on the left and right sides. However, every single time that LA has had a major update, something else is affected and the Slide of Death returns.

I, too, have been running the JP frequently since launch and have found myself forced to re-learn the reliable methods of substantially-safe sliding. The closest I’ve found in this inarnation of the SoD is to start on the left, aim for the thin rock sticking out about halfway down (as if it were big enough to serve as a stopping point); you should be able to miss all the main insta-death parts of the landscape.

Good luck.
