At some point in a map, my character will start holding what appears to be a metal rod of some kind. It goes away when I WP to another map, but it’s just weird, and kind of annoying xD.

Dunno. Have you tried a -repair of the client in case of corrupted file(s)?

have you picked up an ele’s ice bow? this happens randomly at the moment when interacting with ice bows, so that could explain it.

Ah, yes. That would be it. I tried to search but had no idea what to look for. I have used Ice Bows, that would explain it.

This has been happening to all my characters for the past week, no ice bow needed. It has a small chance of happening whenever I swap weapons.

Problems with lots of bow strings, more often when zoomed into 1st person.

Yep, that’s a bowstring. I managed to break Kudzu the other day and the bow string just stayed in my hand. It was completely separated from my bow. Even after I swapped weapons I kept the bow string. It was there when I harvested and Kudzu no longer had a string at all.

I threw a rock at Zommoros for giving me a faulty legendary.

I had it happen to me too. Found though after I logged out and back on it was gone. Well actually got kicked from wvw from a patch and it was gone but looks like others are having it happen to them as well. Only happened to me once and not sure what caused it to appear.
