I tried searching the forums for this one, and couldn’t find anything recent.

I have a huntsman at crafting level 28. I can make:

• a Green Harpoon
• a Green Rifle Stock
• I also have lots of Vials of Weak Blood.

According to this link to the wiki below, I should be able to make a Mighty Green Wood Harpoon Gun (Simple). However, I see no harpoon recipes at all, and I cant discover this harpoon gun either.

Thanks for your answer, RoseofGilead, but I can currently make a Malign Bronze Rifle, which is a level 10 weapon, so that solution doesn’t appear to work for me, unless I am being really dense about something.

Now, this is a character that I used an experience scroll to get her to level 20. Just as a data point.

The one you were trying to make (with the vial of weak blood) is a level 5 weapon, which cannot be crafted, along with any other underwater weapons that are level 5 or less. Players cannot craft underwater weapons under level 5 anymore. Essentially, they don’t exist when it comes to crafting.

However, you can start crafting the 10+ ones in the discovery tab starting around crafting level 25. The Harpoon Gun section of the Production tab won’t show up until a higher level.

Since the NPE changes went in, you are not able to craft underwater weapons that are below level 8 (the level at which players are “introduced” to underwater combat). Once your Huntsman is able to make things above that level (level 10 weapons), you’ll be able to make the underwater weapons (the level 10 and up ones).

Okay, I can now discover harpoon recipes, which is a big improvement. However, the simple recipe that I mentioned above still does not appear in my harpoon list.

Thanks, again, RoseofGilead. Still something is strange as I couldn’t discover a Malign Harpoon Gun, but I was able to discover a Precise Harpoon Gun.

And it would be nice if the Wiki pages were updated to reflect what you have mentioned here.

I don’t think I am going to worry about it anymore. I think I should be able to craft harpoons from now on (just not the low-level ones) so it is in my case a low-priority item.

I agree that an official acknowledgement of these recipes no longer being craftable so that the Wiki can be updated about this. It’s pretty annoying.
