Hi all,

The elite Elementalist skill Whirlpool is not displaying the graphical effect. I can’t say for sure in terms of after which patch it stopped doing so as I haven’t been on much due to other commitments. The damage and other effects of the skill are still being generated and applied normally, it is just the graphical effect that is not occuring. My character also disappears from the screen.

I figured I would leave it a while just in case it was being handled.

Though I can say for sure this started for definite before 14th December.

The skill Tornado (when used out of the water) displays fine, as does all the others.

Same thing happens to me. I dont know where exactly my character is and this makes it quite difficult to hit enemies with the elite.

I don’t use the skill often but most of the time it doesn’t render, or will render just before running out. Reminds me of the culling/player rendering issues in WvW (and during Lost Shores). It feels like the graphic for it is taking so long to render the skill tends to end before it can add the graphic.

It happens all the time for me.
about every 1 in 20 I actually get the graphic for the whirlpool.

I have noticed this issue as well. I started to notice it while i was doing the underwater parts of HoTW. It never displays for me in that instance. i used it several times in the underwater fractal over the past few days and it seems to display fine in there

Me as well although ive never noticed it working.

I have tested this further and did not have the animation display at all during the ocean fractal this time which was previously ok for me. seems like it works only a % of the time. trying to figure out if there is a trigger for the effect working / not working. I do know that both times i used it in my most frequent fractal i was swimming forward while activating the ability. i wonder if standing still / moving makes a difference when activating?
