It’s something I’ve wondered since the game released. We have the official ISO 639-1 language codes for DE and FR, and then, we have SP for Spanish, when no prominent ISO has “SP” for it, and ISO 639-1 gives it ES.
Any explanation? o_o
They didn’t follow the ISO 639-1 language code. The confusion with some of the 639-norms is the difference between 639-2 and 639-2 and mostly the inconsistency’s. This makes it confusing.
In ISO 639-1 and 639-2 Germany is called DE and DEU. So thats very consistent. France is FR and FRA. So also very consistent. But Spain is ES and SPA. So in here the ISO-norm isn’t consistent. This makes that the 2-letter code for Spain is also used very inconsistent.
