Why You Play with People You've Blocked
blocking communication with someone doesn’t mean they cant play the game when ever you are around them. imagine everyone blocked you for science and you could never play pvp again
dude, the world doesn’t revolve around you. this game is not an exception.
Still, if I block someone, I usually don’t only want to stop communicating with him. I want that kitten player to stop annoying me for all eternity. I want to stop communicating with him, stop interacting with him and I certainly don’t want to be in the same group / on the same team as that person.
Luckily I don’t do many things in GW2 where you get trolled by the same people on a regular basis, so blocked people joining my group almost doesn’t happen.
I understand your feeling as I’ve had those moments to.
The funny thing is that the time I was once again teamed up with a guy who was in permanent rage mode and had the ‘oh no, not this guy again’ feeling, I actually laughed.
Because this guy couldn’t pm me or talk to me in team chat after I blocked him he was left jumping up and down like and idiot in front of me to get my attention.
My team mates didn’t seem to fazed by his antics cause they just ignore him as well.
In the end it was relatively easy to ignore him.
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
Interesting question indeed.
Personally, I would love if a person you blocked is being displayed with a red colour in the lfg-interface, similar to how a person you have as a friend is being displayed with a blue colour. This should take care of PvE-related activities.
For PvP, adjusting matchmaking so it won’t assign you into a team with someone you have blocked should be perfectly possible as well.
if pvp match making was set where you couldn’t match up against someone then everyone would simply block anyone they lost to. if blocking comunication with someone isnt enough, go do a different activity for a few minutes, play a different game mode for a moment, get and stretch your legs.
