I got the Ascended ring for the first time I went to the FotM.

I am willing, to create a Resilient Infusion, I was placed in a slot.
(It took about 10 gold to make a Resilient Infusion)

However, infused Ring came out this time as I continue to go to FotM.

I’m thinking of taking out a Resilient Infusion to salvage the no infused Ring,
I tried to salvage bought a Black Lion Salvage Kit with Gem.
But it could not be.

It is very sad, I was wasted Resilient Infusion.
Why is disposable Infusions of no infused Ring?

I want to be able to salvage the Ascended ring.
Or, please allow the takeover to infused Ring in the craft of Mystic Forge.

Because everything about the “progression” in Fractals seems designed to keep the addicted number-grinders… well, grinding numbers. And if they can make those players grind again for the same infusion on a slightly different ring, then the designers have achieved their goal.

It’s self-inflicted pain, really. It’s not even as if you get new content by grinding for higher agony; it’s just the same thing made harder through a numeric increase, which you then make easier again by increasing your own resistance stat.

How some people enjoy this is beyond me (and, I used to think, beyond Mike O’Brien – but I guess not), but hey, if you do enjoy the process of repeating the same content hundreds of times to get an item with a slightly bigger number, then surely the inability to salvage the infusions is a bonus, as it gives you the opportunity to do it all again.

And if you don’t enjoy it, well, you don’t have to do it.

yea i want a way to salvage or swap those extra rings from fotm, mayb put 4 into MF to get a change of fotm weapon skin? u know something. currently have close to 30 rings sitting around

I want you to think about why there is a GW2’s “salvage system” again.
It would be of the order not to waste the items you do not use, or were no longer used.

Until now, the item was not wasted on the salvage,

Why not equip both rings until you get a different Infused Ascended ring to replace the old Ascended one?

As far as I know, all Ascended rings are unique (so you can only wear one or the same name), but Ascended and Infused Ascended of the same name can be worn together.

I hope this makes sense…

That’s not possible. The Fine Transmutation Stone does not accept the Ascended Rings into either of the two slots.

I for one am on board with making Ascended Rings salvageable. If not for Globs of Ectoplasm then Vials/Globs/Shards of Crystallized Mist Essence. It would make upgrading my rings that are not Infused a hell of a lot easier. Not to mention it would quiet some of the people screaming about the grind involved with Ascended gear.

Because Anet first release things then fix them.
