Q:

I thought if I gave it time it would be fixed but I guess no one raised a suspicion by now.

Everytime I try to sell something it takes me ages to get the copper button to work, and if I run my mouse over silver on my way to copper is stays at silver so instead of changing values of Copper I start changing values of Silver even though my Cursor is on Copper.

This is really annoying.

There are two reliable workarounds:

  • Start by clicking in the gold field and use [tab] or [shift+tab] to move (respectively) forward or back.
  • Alternatively, bring the cursor up from below the relevant field. Takes a little practice to do it without thinking about it and now I’m used to doing this as a matter of course.

Background: For reasons lost in the annals of time, someone decided to make fields work different in this UI than on the vast majority of websites: moving the cursor over the field changes the focus (instead of the typical behavior of requiring you to click in the field). That is topped by a visual glitch at certain resolutions where the actual field isn’t located where you think by looking at the graphics.

In other words, there’s a combination of a minor UI bug plus a non-standard interface, combining to create a huge annoyance.

Incidentally, this is different from the TP being slow — this is just the interface being so quirky as to seem unusable, without one of the above workarounds.

It isn’t every item either, I don’t know if it is just heavily traded items or something else, but it seems to happen more frequently on high volume items.
