I don’t understand why we can’t salvage invader weapons.
If we need the sigil placed in the WvW weapons, why we must buy other sigils and put these in the bank?

Invader weapons cost 1 gold (plus badges) and don’t have any embedded sigil.
It’s impossible to do a salvage abuse.

When we change build we often use different weapons , and we can’t pass the sigil from a sword to a greatsword even with a Trasmutation Stone.

Transmute the sigil from a WvW weapon to another weapon, then salvage that, don’t work it too.

That’s really annoyng; it’s a waste of space, money, and time.

I got about 5 weapons in my bank i most likely won’t use again for some time but i just can’t do anything with them.

Toss them into the forge.

Salvaging for ecto’s is why you’ll never be able to salvage those.
(unless they up the price to 2+g & badges.)
Toss them into the forge to spit out an equal (but sellable/salvageable) counterpart.
Or hang on to them in an invisible bag for when you (undoubtedly, eventually) need to have that same weapon back.
Most Sigils are cheap enough to get and replace anyways. (with the exception of a few)
Sometimes, all you have is the Forge (aka Mystic Toilet) to rely on to un-bind your items. Fractal Exotic Gear is this way. Come out of Fractals AB, but toss them in forge and viola! you have something you can actually work with!

Salvaging an exotic weapon give you from 0 to 3 ectos + a some t6 material.
An exotic Invader Weapon cost 1G + 132 badges so, it’s quite fair for me but hey … np.

My topic was for the sigils, not for the crude salvage.

I actually have 1 bloodlust, 2 energy, 2 Fire and 2 corruption.
And honestly i can’t put even 2 corruption and 2 energy in the forge for a replace, it’s really a waste of money.

Bloodlust is THE exception for the Mystic toilet, that’s why i discover this “feature”.

Exotics give between 0-6 ecto, plus t5/t6 mats. Badges are easy to gather so there cost is practically 0 and are not counted as part of the cost when comparing conversions styles.

Well i finally found a way, Reddit is always useful, thanks Darabolok.
Buy a Fine Trasmutation stone, buy a Black Lion Salvage Kit, buy a Blue lvl 80 weapon
Trasmutate the wvw weapon choosing the blue weapons stats and the sigil (the skin don’t care), and i can finally salvaged all.

Will this trick work for WvW armor too? I have some runes I’d like to get off to put on another character.

Yes. It will work on WvW armor and weapons. I just tried it and it worked. I got my runes back, but no ecto’s.

cough salvaging rares and exotics gives 0-3 ectos, not 0-6.

Thanks for the tip on how to salvage them. Still, using a Transmutation Crystal just to get the rune out? I won’t be using that method unless the rune/sigil is particularly valuable.

i don’t get it.

in transmutation procedure i should keep the stats and sigil of the blue weapon and not the exotic that i want to take back ?

can someone make it more clear with an example .?

my example is : i have already a www exotic weapon that i applied a www skin on it and a bloodlust sigil . i want back the bloodlust sigil . what i must do to take it back ?

p.s. i also i have a perlexity rune set in a karma armor . can this trick with stones work to karma armor too ?
