Will HoM Pets' Vitality ever be adjusted?
Rangers have 22 benefits in the HoM (including weapons and pets). Thieves, elementalists, and engineers have 14 or fewer benefits. So, Rangers are hardly “getting the shaft” as far as the HoM is concerned.
The Black Widow compares to the Jungle Spider, not the Forest Spider, which has twice as much vitality as either.
The White Raven compares to the Raven, which has identical vitality (according to the wiki).
Playing a ranger as my main character, I can say with 100% confidence that the vitality of the black widow spider is half of what it should be and the white raven has 2/3 of its expected vitality. Sadly, despite the infinite number of requests and posts related to this issue since the launch of the game, this bug is yet to be resolved.
Since the black widow spider is my favourite of the ranger pets, I’m frustrated by Anet’s refusal to equalise the stat values of these pets. Surely there has been more than enough complaints for this to be noticed.
Check GW2 wiki it tells you the identical pets they compare to and its not the ones you think. Stats are correct on Black Widow and White Raven
The wiki was outdated. Check them in game and you will see that they are not identical. White raven has less vitality than Raven while they should be identical and the same thing happens for Black Widow and Jungle Spider; black widow has less vitality.
And there is also Rainbow Jellyfish which was suppose to be identical with the Blue Jellyfish, but have different skin. They are in fact identical, in stats and skin.

Why don’t you look yourself then? Please don’t quote the wiki. The info there is incorrect in this regard.
I also want to see this fixed.
There is an issue with both the White Raven and the Black Widow. If people (still) don’t believe it, you only need to see this comparison shot.
I really hope that ArenaNet (Jon) is willing to do a quick tweak and apply the correct number to Vitality.

Thanks for the screenshot. (If you have time, it would be helpful if you updated the wiki with the correct stats.)
The wiki’s pet attribute article shows other inconsistencies: extra power from the polar bear, lesser power for hyena, and the noted decreased vitality for the Black Widow. (It doesn’t note the white raven discrepancy in the screenshot above.)
So I think it might be more useful to ask why aren’t the pets consistent across families or whether the game compensates in some other way.

Would if I could, but I’m not overly familiar with editing the wiki.

I’ll try and get to fixing the information on the wiki.
It really is strange how we can’t get an official response on this. I’ve been trying very hard to get more attention on the issue but there simply seems to be no interest from the devs on clearing this up. It would be really nice if we could get an upgrade to pets’ vitalities at the same time as they release the Pet name fix.

Devs don’t have infinite time; they post when they can. A couple of them have explicitly said that a lack of response doesn’t mean a lack of interest. The devs have also said they read forum posts as often as they can, not just bugs and suggestions, but also the other topics.
So, I agree it would be nice if they could let us know, but I also understand why they might not.
I think most of the aggravation on the part of the players is that we see it as “just one number.”
Surely it can’t be too insanely difficult to go in and adjust one particular stat value for pet skins.
Certainly if a pet was “overpowered” then they’d probably have already gone in and done something.
at the same time, i doubt this will be seen as a priority as really it is just a differnet “skin” of other pets you can get in the game in normal ways, and as such they will do it when other more important fixes have been done (like fractals buggin out, w3 culling etc)
