Guild Wars 2

Whenever I go into GW2 on my Windows 10 system, at the point after logging in, but before clicking play, there are messages. If I click on them, it brings up Edge, despite my having set my default browser to something else.

Do anybody know how to fix this?

Internet explorer has evolved too far. I fear there is no stopping this monster. Your only hope now is to destroy your hard drive and burn the remains.

Make the browser of your choice the default for opening links and you are set.

Windows Key → type “Default Programs”.

Just give the browser you want to use all it’s privileges.

Change the default browser to Edge then back to the one you normally use.

“Read more>” opens in Firefox for me as expected.

I have heard that Win 10 is kinda stubborn about the default browser, no matter if you set it to some other browser some actions will still bring up Edge. I can’t say for sure as I don’t use Win 10, I have only heard about that. Not sure if they changed that but third party browsers had been mad at that some months ago.
