Can’t progress pass the first skritt you hit.

Also doesn’t work on any skritt throughout Tyria, only on the ones during the Gift Dolyak escort event.

Tested on Skritt in LA
Friendly skritt in skrittsburgh (Brisban Wildlands)
Enemy Skritt in Ruins of the Unseen(Caledon)

I’m having same problem! is it by design or supposed to be a torture for players?

Why on earth nothing in this game have a proper description!

Even Wiki is vague, just repeating what is written in game description of the achievement!

Something is off with snowball targeting in general. They were just flying off in random directions at random npcs, even with auto-targeting disabled in the options menu. This also happened when I was trying to throw snowballs at players, I would attempt to throw a snowball at a player, and it would throw the snowball sideways randomly at an npc (while I had the player selected, and the cursor on them.)

I also tried to progress this elsewhere, and the snowballs just went flying over the heads of the skritt, or at other players. (despite having the skritt selected, standing on top of them, being in action camera, or numerous other things I could think of.)

I don’t know if all this is related or not. But I wasn’t having this problem when the wintersday patch first landed, only after the patch that caused the settings to start resetting.

ive also tried the skritt near the lumbermill in queensdale. doesnt work on them either

Actually, I finally managed to hit the skritt twice. It seems the kicking was making it hard as hell. Also, the angles with the throw seem a little off. If I aimed higher, it then seemed to hit the skritt.

In the old LA day, there was a friendly skritt in LA. so that was a easy game. I think ANet forget about LA is renewed.

Weren’t able to find any Skritt I can hit with Snowballs either. I even went to Skrittsburgh without them even flinching. Anywhere in Tyria is a blatant lie. If it’s only the ones from the event, that is a horrible idea.. considering people are constantly body blocking and kicking them all over.

I’ve thrown quite a few snowballs at Skritt all over Tyria and still have yet to register a hit. The snowball description say that the person you throw it at must have a snowball in-hand, I can’t find a Skritt with a snowball in-hand.

Yeah, the description is misleading if not an outright lie. ANet needs to edit that out or add more skritt that are throwing snowballs like in Old LA.

Well, if having snowball in hand is true, then event skritts are not holding snowball either. they are obviously holding a gun!

The angles of throw are off if you have the “snap ground targeting to current target” or whatever it is turned on. That was the reason I couldn’t hit anyone at all. It was causing all of my snowball to be aimed at their feet (or elsewhere for npcs). I’ve had much better luck with at least hitting other players by turning off that snap ground targeting option while snowballing.
