I was just south of Agnos Gorge on my Elementalist when one of the presents exploded and level 31 skritt were running around it. They despawned after a few minutes but I though you should know about that, being that the area is level 12

That happened to me last night in Plains of Ashford, a level 1-15 area.

I hope it was a bug because getting one-shotted then having to pay for rez and armor repair is most definately not fun!

Happened to me today a couple of times in Plains of Ashford, in two different locations. Reported both accidents via the ingame bug tool. W: Piken Square.

lvl 65 skrit pop out in a lvl 18 zone and insta kill anyone.

Having the same issue in Plains of Ashford, near the Ascalonian Catacombs Waypoint. I do hope it gets fixed rather than being pushed under the rug due to being associated with a temporary event. Frustrated me quite a bit, and happened with multiple presents in the zone. I simply had to move to a completely different zone to gather them.
I’m on Gate of Madness, if that is relevant.

Just happened to my lvl 10 thief in Plains of Ashford (Yak’s bend server). Maybe it is supposed to be funny.

Have died twice in Plains of Ashford, near the Toppled Wall, due to a Mysterious Present spawning several lvl 31 Skritt in an Area where characters are capped at Lvl 12! Wasn’t sure what hit me the first time round – opening up the respawned box a few miniutes later I realised that it was these higher level creatures that were the cause of my demise.

I posted a forum too. It happened to me again as well

seeing quite a few lvl 32 event mobs in 10-12 area, and they are aggroing from half a mile away which is wonderful fun – not……

Plains of Ashford again. Downleveled to level 12 but got 5 level 31 Princess Dolls. One of them oneshotted me. Someone tried to rez me and they got one shotted as well. Thanks to Roy the Wanderer for trying though. Can I haz refund on repairs and wp costs?

OK, wtf. It just happened again at a different present in Plains of Ashford.

from the typical response from anet. they only worry about things that help players succeed . things that allowed us to do things easier or get rewards are fixed immediately and issues that cost us huge sums of grief and money are ignored.

I’m level 80 with an almost complete set of exotics. I’ve now been murdered in one hit three times in fifteen minutes in Plains of Ashford, and once more in Iron Marches. This is getting ridiculous. This bug is making me extremely frustrated, and the repair costs are starting to add up. It needs to be fixed immediately, Arenanet. No one even opens the presents in low level areas anymore.

Imagine how I feel with a level 13 character and running into level 31 Skritt, Verani and those annoying Toy Dolls with the longest detect range I have seen of any NPC in the game one shot killing me.

this exactly – more of the same here.

I ran into the Plains of Ashford ones and just laid there dead watching about 20 people try to walk by and getting one shotted to which we were laughing a bit trying to warn others, but they didn’t listen and ended up dead like us. Then a few of us started using distractions and stealth skills to rez some others. It was fun, but definitely needs to be fixed.
