Since the last patch (EotM), all the World Bonuses gained from WvW do not seem to apply to the game world (at least, the two obvious ones, +max health and +healing, in dungeons and open world PvE of your world). I’m not sure if this was intentional or a result of a bug from the last patch. I didn’t see this mentioned in the patch notes so perhaps this is a bug?

It still works in WvW but not in EotM.

Confirmed that WvW bonuses are not currently being applied in the open world. They still work in WvW though.

It makes sense that it doesn’t work in EotM, considering it’s an overflow of sorts, that takes player from various servers and put them together. I’m just curious if they weren’t supposed to work in open world.

This same bug was in place after launch until about the 6 month mark. Many players never received the bonuses, and there was no acknowledgement until they fixed the problem, and it was a one line reference in a patch note.
WHen you hover your mouse cursor over the “rook” WvW icon on the upper left of your screen and you see { World vs. World [B] }, YOU ARE NOT GETTING THE BONUSES that you see when you open the new WvW screen and look at the “detailed score” tab.
NO increased XP, gold, or defense to monsters, no increase in gathering, no health increase, no crafting critical chance, no endurance gain, no healing effectiveness increase.
Basically those of us not getting the bonus are playing a different game than those that do. Some of us play one game, others play another game that is much better. Why they charged me the same price and then left out a bonus that they gave to others is beyond me. Why am I treated like a lesser citizen by this company?

A lot of people are getting this bug. Most of my guild is, including me. We had hoped it would be fixed by now, but it seems to have been overlooked.

I’ve been missing my bonuses since Tuesday’s update. Several guild members reported the same thing, but none claimed they were still getting bonuses outside of wvw. Is there any confirmation that some players are still receiving their bonus stats?

I was one of the players impacted by the bonus bug at release, and I never actually saw the bonuses working till the final attempt at fixing them. I know I saw a few sets of patch notes that claimed to fix it, but those always ended up being partial fixes that left many players still bugged. I’m hoping this one is at least game-wide, so we don’t have another situation where only some players are missing out on stats for 5-6 months.

The only issue at present is that the Power of the Mists is no longer being applied outside of WvW. Since this was not mentioned in the patch notes, it is presumably a bug.

With all due respect. Many of us waited over six months for the Dev Team to respond the first time. Please forgive us for our desire to tie this to the issue from the past so that we don’t have to suffer the same HALF YEAR punishment as we did previously.

If you were one of the minority who previously suffered this issue from Head-start to a half year later, without a peep from the dev team; then I am sorry you also had to endure and I will say no more.

But if you are one of the majority who were enjoying additional bonuses to health, gathering, crafting etc. since launch; then, respectfully, you lack the first hand perspective to understand our predicament.

Well since we are on the subject.

I had that problem then and I have it now.
A friend who did not have the problem at launch has it now.
That same friend also checked on his r30+ character and the buff wasn’t working on that character either.
Neither of us have ever transferred servers.

That should eliminate a bunch of maybes.

Speaking of maybe. If anyone has a Twitter account maybe you can try asking there where they actually have people paying attention to it! You are more likely to get a reply there than here.

Well … I guess because only the people in WvW are actually contributing to the score. :P
Although that wouldn’t explain why they would stop getting it once they leave.

Yes, I have really noticed the difference when gathering.

I’ve played for ages and can’t say I’ve ever noticed the bonus in pve always assumed they were wvw only

You never got an extra hit on a gathering node? They are non-existent now that we have no bonuses. Three for wood, three for ore, one for plants. I might not have noticed much, either, but for the gathering nodes.

It’s actually been well over a month since this occured. Any updates on a possible solution? Last time I got multiple harvest nodes was during Christmas/Wintersday LW.

The second tab (detailed score) shows what the server has qualified for in the bonus categories, not what you get. (also, they are actually not calculating correctly in the tool tip) When you hover your cursor over the “rook” icon on the upper left of your screen, that will show you a black ‘tool tip’ box with the bonuses your character is receiving from the Mists Bonuses. If you see [WvW ‘B’], you are not getting any bonus that your server has earned. If you see the categories listed in detail, you are receiving the bonuses (although they are not the same as the detail page shows).
I think they borked the coding on this one really bad. Probably another month till they get it right.

Yep, no bonuses shown when I hover my cursor over the WvW Icon regardless of PvE or WvW area. Before the latest patch I got the World Bonuses in WvW at least.

It’s working for me. Tab, and all. Yay! So nice to get extra gathering hits, again. =)

YES, SO ALL YOU PvE people need to get into WvW to make all those bonuses Higher it really is a nice buff come Thursday/Friday right before reset.

Not so much a feature, as a Bug Fix. You will find it listed under BALANCE, BUG-FIXING, POLISH.

I am referring to the fact that it now works while guesting. Having it work on your own server is a bug fix.

I suppose they should have separated the two. It’s a nice new Polish, perhaps?

Sigh, nice to see that the issue is fixed for all of you but i can’t believe that I’m the only one not getting World Bonuses. I hate to be the special snowflake here. Hopefully a developer recognizes that the bug still occures for some players. I will file a ticket to be sure it gets some attention.

Have you transferred server recently?

Yes i transfered server between February 4 patch and March 18 patch. After the transfer i got World Bonuses in WvW on my new server, just like before the transfer.

I think you don’t get bonuses for two weeks following a transfer. At least that’s what I read on a thread somewhere, and not by a staff member, so take it with a grain of salt.

Quick update: I just logged in and downloaded today’s patch. Now i get the World Bonuses again in PvE, WvW and overflows. I didn’t guest yet but suppose I will get the bonuses then too.

The event trigger for capturing Bay garrison and hills is bugged. Needs a fix asap-
