I never disconnected from the game or any other game as much as I have since Mega-Servers were created. The constant disconnects is beyond annoying … the the worst part isn’t the disconnects. Its that I can do 95% of a boss and disconnect … only to come back to a map that killed it already and not to get credit. It almost makes the game worthless to play to constantly disconnect during boss fights or in a big WvW fight only to get nothing out of it. I’d love to see Mega-Servers at least retain a person’s spot on the map if they DC and allow them to come back if they reconnect within a certain amount of time.

have you tried lowering your settings, especially the “Character Model Limit” setting, lowering shaders, shadows etc as well, it helps a lot if you dont have a great gpu. I am not a fan of megaservers by any means, but constant disconnects might be more of an issue with your computers performance.

Yes, I’ve turned them all to the lowest and it still DCs. My connection is fine. My computer is fine. I just want to stop swapping to maps that are worse than the one I’ve been running my butt off and losing loot.

Completely agreed on it. It sux to have that hard work fighting for then lose all the rewards due a “silly” disconnect.

I strongly recommend that the OP work with Support to troubleshoot this. This sounds like an individual situation, since the vast majority of people aren’t DCing anywhere near as often.

(I would like ANet to improve the experience of recovering from DC, but that’s a topic for a different forum.)

I am having the same problem. It just happened to me a bit ago. I was almost done with the group event (which was already glitchy and lagging due to the mega server) and gw2 just disconnected my character. I am also getting tired of the mega server lagging all the time during big events and then logging out.
