Guild Wars 2

For me the “WvW Dawn of the Season” achievement is not activating, and thus all other Season 1 related achievements are locked even though I went to WvW right at reset, killed 20+ opponents, capped 2 towers, etc.

So while everyone around me is happily commenting on TS on piling up achievements I get nothing.

I can’t get it too and this will probably be only chance because I’m on FoW and will get stomped every other matchup

same for me its locked, spend 100’s of pounds on this game, play for over 1500 hours and play WvW constantly and this is how they reward you -_-

Uhh….guys, is it not supposed to start when the new matchup, after daily reset at whatever time, (and hence the WvW season beginning) begins? It does say “begin the WvW season”. It hasn’t really begun yet.

The new matchup (and thus season 1) HAS started in the EU.
And lots of players are getting their achievments already. It’s only some players who, for whatever reason, do not get them.

I was in Mad King Laberynth when season started while all my firends got it i didn’t.
Hope for a fix

just wanted to say that I didn’t get the achievement either. My husband, who plays on the same server, got it. In case that helps, I was at the Temple of Lyssa at reset time.

Adding to the list of people having the wvwvw achievement panel still locked, despite start of the season.

Same problem for me, was waiting for more than 1 hour to get in WvW, and played 10 mins and didnt get any archivements. Hopefully fixed very soon, was looking forward to spend a Friday evening with guildies in WvW… going to bed crying…

Same for me. I’m on Fort Ranik.
Some of my guildmates unlocked it, some didn’t.

Most on SFR are fine, but I and a few, are bugged while in WvW. Got kills, caps, etc, and nothing counts. Thanks for your quick attention.

after waiting for 2,5 hrs, nothing happened… dawn did not work, no Progresses after dawn possible -.-

Took me more than an hour to queue up for EB, Killed quite a few ppl there, caps, towers, camps, etc. no achievements! Will this all be for nothing then?

Just restarted the game, and queuing up again, for EB. Will let you know if that fixed it!

I have the same problem, I finally got into WvW and after 1.5 hour playing I decided to get a look at my achievements but all have a grey lock on it ( see screen ).

So I reclogged, and after waiting 3 hours to get into WvW again, I still have the same problem

Guys, sadly we were not invited to this season.

So two hours passed since last official post about this issue… i’m not a programmer, but how long you think you need to fix this ?

Weekdn off work, was planning to get some of these achievements and now … nothing

So, got in again (EB, Far Shiverpeaks server) And again, the WvW Dawn of the Season achievement didnt trigger.

Same here, waste of my Friday night.

It’s not gonna trigger either, it’s not bugged it’s broke for those who didn’t get it yet, i tried all kinds of things, relog, restart, relog low lvl charrs, relog first charr, guesting, everything.. nothing will trigger it

I have the same issue, I’ve been on Seafarer’s Rest for over 9 months..

They probably put the unlock timer on the clock from North America and forgot to make a separate entry for Europe. By the time they come up with something, reset will have hit here too.

I thought it didn’t start until reset today…..

It’s almost time for the inaugural World vs. World Season! Tonight, when the weekly WvW matchups reset, the season will officially begin.

same here, so not everyone has equal chance, F….. annoying bug

Me too, and I quit the game, got on queue and entered WvW 2 times, no changes.. I’m locked out of all achievements..

This patch has unlocked all but one perk for me, Advanced mist invasion defender is still locked, so the bug is not fully fixed yet.

Yea was about to edit i missed that, Cheers.

That is fast! And shall have the respect from them player!

Thanx. Do we get another fix to get the archievement later?

This fix has unlocked the achievements for me but i still haven’t actually gained the “Dawn of the Season” achievement.

Also killing ministry guards in the level 10 human story line quest got me 8 guard kills in the Season 1 WvW achievements.

Yeah, I can confirm that.

I can do the other achievements, but like myself and others seem to be having problems with, the ‘Dawn of the Season’ achievement still isn’t working/unlocked. Here’s a pic:

My Dawn of the Season is still locked, but thankfully the other ones are now free. I suppose that the Dawn of the Season achievement does not count for the meta anyway, right?
