WvW Queues
Queues may go close do 4Hours as I already waited for (yesterday), and when it asks for travel we usualy are in a middle of a story mode or event (that’s my case) and it’s very frustrating, when I’m bored and want WvW I can’t, when I’m doing something the Queue Asks me for travel.

I concur with all of this… the WvW queues are ridiculously long. Either people need to have time limits in WvW, or something needs to be done to increase the amount of players allowed in matches. As it stands now, I’ve waited well over 4 hours for a match before. Yes, I could simply go to SPvP, but it’s a completely different game aspect than WvW.

I would suggest INSTANCES like Underground in Eternal Battlegrounds, for spread he WvW Pop in that instances and they fight there, and that will also free slots in the Main WvW Maps…
Also most of the WvW maps are empty, all players are in Zergs in that X area, what makes the WvW experience, Lag, Confusion and Not that fun… I guess if there was something for spread players arround the map and not all in zergs in an place WvW would be an awesome experience as it was intended by the DEVs for sure.
(Because I don’t think DEVs want Zergs of 50 players what is laggy and confusing be all like “FLOODING” the Map)

Tested it with several guildies, and there seems to be no ryhme or reason to the nature of the queue. Calling it a queue is misleading though, as it would imply some sort of line, where in those who arrive first get seen to first, though this is clearly not the case as evidenced by the number of times we have seen those who have waited hours get passed by as those who try for a few minutes get in.
Simply put, it is irritating. Putting in some sort of counter that shows your place in line would be nice, at the very least, it would allow you to know if something had gone awry with your place in the line. It would also give you a general idea as to how many others are getting in, perhaps making you more understanding towards the wait. “What, 700 people in line, guess I will be waiting for a while.” As opposed to the click, wonder, worry and hope situation we have now.

I agree, that or some sort of estimated waiting time thing with the queue.
I have not been able to get in WvW since release. My gameplay sessions are only 2-3 hours a day. Since Friday I try to queue everyday when I am online and never got through.
I also have the que issue where I enter but people who join in after I que get in before me. This is a huge game breaker for me as I am playing this game specifically for the WvW. Please look into this and give us some info
This is what i warned them about durring beta. Guilds were making huge alliances just for WvW and this is what is flooding the system. Really the cap just isnt high enough for the amount of playing coming to this game just for WvW, need more maps and up the cap.
Has a.net acknowledged bugs with the queue?
Queues are frustrating, whats more frustrating is when you’re waiting 4 hours for the queue and you’re friend logs in and gets in WvW after 5 mins ?
Something is really off there, kindly fix this ASAP.
The queues are incredibly long and I’m not really interested in waiting three to four hours to get into a WvW game. What makes things worse is that I often randomly get signed out of the game minutes after I’ve joined WvW. I’m not actually logged out but returned to the Character Selection screen. When I log back in I’m back in Lion’s Arch and I would have to join the queue all over again in order to play more WvW.

I guess not because it’s not on their game status page.
The biggest issue with the queues is because of dolyak escorts. In your home borderlands you’l have 30-50 people all running back and forth escorting the yaks down a set path, then running back to the camp and doing it again. Gives them free+easy exp with no work involved. So instead of people who come and go, you have a large group of dedicated people leveling using that instead of doing wvw.
Not only are the queues long but population is always imbalanced. WHENEVER my guildmates are dying to 10x their numbers in WvW what am I doing ? SITTING in a queue. Why is it that pop cap on each map is shared across all 3 servers so that out 900 people 500 are from one server/300 from one/ our server gets 100? Gee thanks Anet.
Servers with lower pop should have their queue’s eliminated until pop is balanced. Once population is balanced you can enable a queue. There shouldn’t be a queue for a server that is outbalanced in a fight and dying to a zerg 10x bigger.

There’s a big difference between which W3 map you que for.
Eternal Battleground = the most qued and highest traffic one, with que times of over 1 hour or longer
While your not home server battlegrounds are usually less contested from your server.
So when you que for Eternal BG and your friend quest for one of the 2 BG that are not your home servers he has a chance to almost instantly get in.
What people that want to fight usually do, is que for the less filled map, then que for the high contested one while inside already.

The problem is the majority of people joining to bot it up. If you haven’t noticed a TON of players are coming into WvW now and botting the supply caravan mission. You can have two at a time, use speed buffs to speed it up, take it all the way to the checkpoint > go back to the spawn of the caravan and wah la when it’s done you will of gotten 4,000XP.
It needs to be patched like all the other spots people are afk farming were patched. Literally, today I went there and followed a group of like 50-100 people doing it (and thats just my server). I can’t imagine all 4 continents and the players doing it.
Have to agree on the wait times being far too long. We have a party or two in guild that want to go to WvW together, but so far we have never managed to get more than 2 of us in at once (regardless of area).
Also please if the game crashes or you do a quick logoff/logon (often has to be done because of other bugs) dont cancel the queuing! Please at least add a little timer so that if you do have to restart and reconnect, if its less than say 30 secs you maintain your queue position
Also some ‘you are at position x in queue’ would at least give people an idea of how long they have to wait
Agreed, especially the fact that I queue for a long time and my boyfriend just logs right in can be really frustrating.

We’re temporarily disabling rewards on Dolyak caravan escort events in World v. World while we work on rebalancing them.

Good that is exactly what is needed. There had to of been several hundreds of people farming those. I wish they’d roll them back.
