Most destructible walls in WvW seem to be eating up Engineer grenades and mortar fire whenever there is siege equipment on top of them. I’ve seen it happen with superior arrowcarts and with normal ones. Instead of exploding upon contact, the grenades/mortar will launch “into” the wall and go off once they’re on the inside of them.
I’d get printscreens of this, but it’s rather hard for me to aim the grenades and take a printscreen at the same time :P So I’m hoping that other people were able to report this in-game, or managed to take printscreens.
I’ve personally witnessed this in both Quentin Lake and Mendon’s. But I’m pretty confident that this bug is something that has to do with all of the destructible walls (Only thing blocking me from testing this is line of sight, which is hard to get by at most towers)
Another thing that should be noted is that the parts of the walls that are eating up the explosions, is not in front of the towers. I’m chucking the grenades/mortar fire on top of the AC’s from the cliffside of the above mentioned towers (or the inside of the walls, if that’s any clearer).
This is the build that I’m using while suffering from this bug.
Trinkets don’t seem to affect this, as I’ve tried several different ones. Traits in Tools don’t make a difference either, as I’ve recently changed them from Inventions over to Tools.
