Guild Wars 2

Since the latest patch, i have issues with my guild chat.. Although i appear in my guild, and i “represent” it, i can’t seem to be able to see anything posted in the guild chat, and when i try to post something there, i get the “You are not in a guild” message instead! I tried standing down and re-representing, it didn’t work.. I re-logged even, and it didn’t work either.. I tried switching characters and i got the same result..

The funny part is, that i can edit the MOTD, i can see myself in the online list, i can see people coming in and out, but the guild chat isn’t working..

Any ideas??

Pull up your Contacts list and make sure you’re in “Online” mode. If you’re not, you will get the error “You are not in a guild.” when trying to use guild chat.

I was in “Online” Mode when the problem occurred, that’s what made me ask for help.. My last resort was “cycling” through the modes, and eventually the problem fixed itself.. Thanks for the advice though, much appreciated..

I’m suffering from the same problem right now.

This has hit as well. Had my brother get this issue and he was sitting next to me. We were able to see him in the guild panel, although he was not able to use guild functions such as the bank or activate researched items.

Had him rezone, re log, re boot with no luck. Then booted him from the guild and re added him this helped although made new issues, such as his not being able to use the guild bank for 72 hours etc.

I’m surprised this one is still around, as I havent seen it happen to me since October. What I ended up doing as a work-around when it happened was to zone out into an explorable area. Then it would let me represent the guild again. Standing in a town would not work.

Had this happen to my just now, today. The new patch messed this up for me. I’m fiddling around to try and get things to snap back in place. Sigh.
