Your message has been suppressed...
Had this happen to me earlier in the new JP. I had been talking but not consistently enough to the point where i felt the need to be suppressed
I had this happen yesterday. I was asking questions in chat and after about the 4th question, I got this suppression issue.
I was not saying the same thing in any of the chats…but apparently when someone asked me for more precise info, my answer was suppressed.
Can’t figure out why?
I think it’s part of the timing of posts, too many, too quickly will get you suppressed.
Here is a post from the wiki:
If you send messages too frequently (unspecified), subsequent messages will be blocked for an undetermined (and possibly variable) length of time with “Your message was suppressed due to excessive messaging.” displayed in your chat window.
~~~You can still whisper players though
dumb, just dumb, dont forget it they also wont let us sell but so many items before that too get supressed. try sending food to all 4 other member of your group and see what happens.
Yeah, I know lol, but they do it to hold back bots and gold spammers, etc. I don’t get too upset, just try to keep it in the back of my mind. (also, you could send something to 1 person and ask them to send 1 to the next person, hopefully they aren’t dodgy)
commanding map chat is difficult in wvwvw with this supression system.
That happens sometimes. Unsure why. I have been chatting in guild chat for an hour, then I would go to type something in /say and it says I’m suppressed. Map change may help, but just closing gw2 and going back in has fixed this
And don’t send blank emails or the same message to multiple people. Change it up. Actually type out a message, and even better just clarify what it is for. It is either the time it takes to type the message, or the fact the messages aren’t the same, and don’t remotely appear to be spam, or a combination. Has worked for me, albeit not often I send much.
