Got to choose… wanted the Staff and got the Shortbow?
Anyone else got that problem?

I selected Greatsword and got the hammer. I checked and double checked and then checked some more.

yeah me too…. I doublechecked and klicked yes…
still the shortbow instead of the staff

I had the same issue, selected Greatsword and got the Hammer. I hope the customer support will fix it.

Selected Shortbow, got Staff. Already sent a ticket yesterday.

I opened the thing and it didn’t display any items to me…. Also I never received the Gold Find Boost so I am basically only stuck with the stuff from the 500 point chest. Anyone else experiencing this?

I confirm I also had the weapon selection bug. I clicked on the greatsword and I previewed it. After that I accepted the chest, but when I opened my achievementpanel, it showed the staff instead of the greatsword Arenanet please fix this, and a reroll would be nice.

Could we have some kind of confirmation or acknowledgement here?

I am 100% sure I did not choose the shortbow – I wanted the staff for my guardian…

i previewed the staff and selected that one, but instead i got the shortbow skin

I clicked on staff and got bow. Please fix this, Anet. I don’t use bow on any of my classes!

I previewed and clicked the Scepter, but got the Sword. My current main character and alt don’t even use that weapon.

Please, ArenaNet.. allow us to correctly reselect our weapon skins.

I got the skin without a problem, but i didnt get the chest. Did they remove it?

Hi there. I chose a Greatsword for my mesmer but recieved a Hammer. I am very dissapointed and plan on following these threads until a solution is presented.

Clicked pistol and received rifle. Not too big of a deal, but annoying none the less.

would someone official say something about that?

I don’t want a hammer skin… it waste me one chance to get a skin…

ya, i picked a staff and got a hammer, what a huge waste of achievment points. at least the last time we got to pick the skin there wasn’t a bug. picked a GS and got a GS from the chest before.

They patched it about 7 hours ago to have an extra confirmation prompt, if you get the wrong one now, something is wrong with your mouse, client or w/e :S

Picked the longbow skin and got the sword…

But they didn’t help us to change the wrong choice…
We still lost one chance to select.

It’s clearly the selection itself is bugged, rather than a mistake made. Wife picked the staff, and got the shortbow. I picked the greatsword and got the hammer. It’s the exact same combo as everyone else in the thread.

My analysis of a possible cause of this issue was based on it occurring with the 2000ap chest, not the 1000ap chest, as I did not see anyone mention which chest specifically in their posts. Due to this being clarified that it was, in fact, the 1000ap chest where people experienced the issue, my reasoning for the possible cause was based on incorrect data and is now removed.

Sorry you are wrong.

Almost we got wrong skin at “First” skin choice. So we think it maybe bug.
Second skin was correct skin today.

Can you delete that too long analysis..?

Except for the fact that I didn’t get one that was just “bumped one” place over… lol

And then the other fact that other people received the wrong skin on the FIRST chest.

I got the wrong skin at the chest of 1000 AP. Today when opening the 2000 AP chest I did get the skin I wanted.

Just wanted to report my findings:
1000AP chest popped on third day and I selected the dagger skin and it was correct.
2000AP chest popped on fifth day and I selected the short bow skin and it was correct.

So my second chest was correct, the the first one wasn’t. Hopefully we get some kind of response to this.

Really I think ANET won’t deal this bug or help us something…

Please be aware that you can get the skins again from a following set of achievement points (if you have enough). For a full list of achievement rewards see http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement
Although this bug shouldn’t be happening, if you have enough points to try again to get the item you clicked on the next time it comes around, at least this may be a work around for some people.

Also note that if you don’t get the popup chest for the achievement points, just logout and log back in, and this should prompt the popup/s again.
