as stated, the longbow of dragons deep is not unlocking in my collection when selected and taken from a pvp reward track chest from the arah reward track, this is the second weapon chest i have opened trying to get this longbow, and am very frustrated as to why its not unlocking since its my last item needed to finish that one.. i submitted a bug report first time round but it is still happening..

I have the same problem, but with Axe of the Dragon’s Deep.

In both cases it looks like you are on characters that can’t use the relevant weapon. Have either of you tried it on characters that can equip the weapon?

Forging/salvaging should also unlock but that would risk losing the weapon without making any progress.

I’ve tried salvaging my last axe that didn’t register, but that didn’t help any. I’ve also tried equipping the axe on a necromancer, but not choosing the weapon from the box on that class. TBH, I’m not really in the mood to potentially waste another box on trying to unlock a broken weapon, but in the name of science…

Yet, it’s not right. A weapon should just unlock regardless. >:(

Alright, I tried it. Opened the box and chose an axe using Warrior. It didn’t work.

I also used bug report in game. This is the last box I’m wasting on that kitten axe.

And update: This time I chose longbow playing a guardian, and it registered itself into the collection.

Come on people. Whoever gets the bug, please report it in-game. You know who you are. We want this to get Anet’s attention.

Did you guys by chance open your reward chest while spectating?

In my case, I did not. I was always either in PvE or the PvP hub.

Well…. there is this thread…. in which players were originally attributing the bug to unlocking skins while in spectator mode…. but if you were not in spectator mode….. then that sort of debunks this….

Unless it is possible you had previously unlocked your dragon’s deep longbow for your Arah collection in spectator mode…. did not get credit for the unlock, thought you still needed it, got another one, and just now noticed.

(TLDR It is possible that it got bugged a while back and you just now noticed)

How sure are you that this is your first time attempting to unlock the bow skin…. and can you remember specifically what you were doing when you tried to unlock it this time?

I recall only spectating once or twice, way before Reward Tracks and Collections were introduced. And I don’t know what I could have possibly done to break a collection in such a way that it can’t be completed.

By the way, my broken weapon is the axe. I don’t know if OP really checks back here anymore. He should.

Again new update. I was opening a weapons box in a PvP match to pick shortbow this time. The skin unlocked, but it didn’t register into the collection once again.

BUT, one of my friends opened a weapon box of Twilight Arbor in a PvP match as well, and the weapon registered right away.

This bug still persist in game, just opened Arah Weapon Box in PvP match and the weapon did not registered for achievement.
