i don’t know if its a bug but I only ever get masterwork or less in my rank up chest while other people I know get ascended and someone even got a precuser. I am level 80 btw

I almost always get Masterwork items in my Rank chests, though occasionally I get a Rare.

I’m guessing it is just RNG in your case.

Your most likely getting trolled too. Precursors I have never heard dropping from rank up chests, ascended armor/weapon boxes and trinkets yes, but very rare. Expect to get to rank 1000 and only seeing 2 exo, 1 ascended, few rares and a ton of blues and greens.

WvW rewards are not in sync with PvE rewards, so if WvW is what you like to do, get use to it =\

I know for sure that one of my guildies got a precursor out of a rank up chest. It is an exotic like any other – since exotics drop from those chests, precursors do too.

However, I’m also more on the masterwork and occasional rare side of the RNG… But I got an ascended chest once, somewhere after rank 500. And I think there also were some rings. But since I already have a mule char full of those, I can’t remember which stat combination it was… Since I’m not wearing it, it must have been a useless one.

It really doesn’t feel that rewarding to open rank up chests, now that I think about it… But I don’t think this can be considered a bug, it’s just RNG.

RNG is RNG.

I got 4 ascended, two boxes, two trinkets from ranks 160-185. Later I got another two trinkets around 220-240

In my case, I just happened to luck out in odd clusters. WvW has been pretty unusual good to me though it would seem, it’s the only place I’ve ever gotten ascended drops. (I don’t dungeon particularly often, and I do Fractals even less)

At any rate, the levels go fast, and there are people out there that are in the thousands – Obviously having had many more times the chance to get something good.

I’m just below level 700 : on all those rank chests, i only got one exotic (and a few yellows).

A guildie has the same 700 rank : he got 5 ascended rings, one box, and several exotics.

RNG ftw? :P I was lucky to get a Zojja Armor box from rank up chest got also a few exotics quite some rares and massives of masterwork. I thought the better rank you got the better drop rate you have? (im just rank 560 not that high)
