There’s a couple people I have known for a bit that will swear for days that breach is unlimited for them and not capped as far as bonus rewards.
However, for a majority of players, the breach event in sw is capped at 3 completions. Following the third completion the player does not receive the 3 rare bags and the nightmare key.

Should it be capped for all players at 3? or should it be unlimited?
I appreciate the assistance.

According to the Wiki, the event is capped at 3x per day. Your acquaintances may be mistaken, pulling your leg, or have a bugged client. No idea.

I actually added that on the wiki recently. no one changed it since though so assuming its capped for a majority of ppl

It has never been limited so please remove that from the wiki since it’s false information.

You can farm breach and VW as much as you want. Only thing affecting the rewards is if the breach is succesful or not (no key and only 1 rare bag for fail).

I know people who farmed it a dozen times/day and had tons of nightmare keys. If there’s a cap, it was added recently and not documented in patch notes.

Easy enough to test though.

Agreed, I used to farm it a lot, way more than 3 times per day, so unless this is an undocumented change its just not true,

Also could you imagine what that would do to the map in general, by lunchtime no one would be on the map as they would be getting even less rewards, not going to happen.

Breach is surely not limited to 3x/day. Did farm for 3h yesterday, got 10 nightmare keys and all normal bags/rares.

Is anyone saying it should be capped? I think folks were simply claiming that they didn’t get all the rewards from every successful vinewrath.

lol I didn’t best answer one because none of these answer help to the least bit. If you can complete over 3 breaches and still receive the bonus rewards please link screen shot or stop commenting.
I test this once every few days personally and maybe its me that’s bugged? im leaning more towards trolls or uninformed people that haven’t tested though. In game several others also said they have the cap.

I’ve personally never come across a cap, but I would imagine if there was/is a cap, a lot more posts/threads would show up commenting on it.

(I should know better than to not check any updates on Wiki pages…my bad.)

Do you remain in the same instance after a breach? Or do you use the LFG tool to find a new map? Are you looking at breach only? Or breach + vinewrath? or just vinewrath?

And just because I like to double-check the easy stuff: are you sure that your bonus chest isn’t just automatically opening for you? (the bouncies do that, once you start to accumulate too many) If that’s the case, it’s possible that one might get the rewards and just not realize it.

Finally, let’s all assume that everyone is posting here in good faith. People are going by their personal experience, which might or might not be representative of the majority of players. There might be various other factors involved, which we just aren’t noticing by how each of us is phrasing our findings.

Let’s also not get too excited about seeing (or not seeing) any screenshots: we would still have to accept on good faith that the person is showing the relevant bonus chest after X number of successful breaches/vw/etc, at least not without a (really really long) video.

tl;dr I’m not sure that we’ve established that we are comparing Apples to Apples, which could explain why people are reporting different experiences.

There is no cap. But do keep in mind that you need to have at least 1 perserverance (the stacking boon you get from completing events in SW) to be able to get credit (reward chest) for the Breach. So if you jump from breach to breach, make sure you complete at least one event every time before going in.
