[bug] invulnerable monsters
I’ve encountered this a few times while fighting enemies underwater. Once they hit certain HP level, they will swim away, become invulnerable and lose aggression.

Enemies become invulnerable when they have no way of reaching you. I believe that it’s to prevent people from botting from a place that the mobs can’t reach. To fix it, simply walk over to the monster and let it hit you once.
It happens to me underwater. When it first started happening, I thought I was too close to the shore or too close to the top of the water. So I began staying further down under and as close to the mob as possible but it still happens. Now I’m trying to determine if it happens when I use a certain skill. Not sure what’s happening but it annoys me when the mob is almost dead and it resets for no reason…
The distance from the mob original spawn location is also a factor to consider.
If the monster is too far away from it’s original location it will reset.
Currently encountering this in a main story mission. But yeah have also encountered these outside in the world. Annoying but at least those do not stop progression.
I’m encountering this problem very often while underwater. I thought it was because I was getting too far from the mob, but it happens even as I attack it right on its spawn point. It’s rather annoying and possibly lethal.
I can’t complete a story mission bc of this every 5 seconds the monsters I’m attacking underwater swim away become invulnerable and regenerate all their health. It really sucks I’m stuck now.
Underwater combat is a sick joke pulled on the playerbase. Easily 25% of the mobs go invulnerable.
same problem I posted about this a week ago https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Projectile-Invulnerable-PvP-Unplayable/first#post210251
wiki even says projectiles will travel further if they are fired from a height that’s a lie it should say projectiles will become invulnerable after five attacks if they are fired from a height

1 I understand why the game should be based to prevent botters
2 but why should it take away from the game and cause non botting players to pay for it
3 I think this take away from the role of any ranged player in the game scene this is a “role” playing game and you have to play agents the role http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranger_%28character_class%29
It’s getting far worse than just being where a mob cannot hit you. I have had very bad experiences with this throughout the entire weekend. Worse than it has ever been in the past. It is really annoying to strategize to down a veteran mob, use skills to buff up and get pet buffed up, engage the mob and have it in a constant state of invulnerability until all of my buffs are worn off and everything is on cooldown, THEN it becomes attackable. That is nearly unacceptable. I can deal with the skill point bugs and the DEs that break constantly, but not even being able to kill a mob due to the crappy coding used to defeat botters is BS. If you really want to defeat botters, actually DO something about the millions of reports you have received instead of ignoring them completely.
The worst part is when it re-aggros onto you almost immediately. I have that happen fairly often.
Leashing seems to be a bit over-aggressive in this game. I play a mesmer, and we’re pretty much forced to kite due to squishiness and profession mechanics, and i can’t tell you how many times i’ve had something at 20% only to watch it run away and reset.
