so the daily today say “eat 25 food” i buy 25 and eat them but it is still 0 %
is there other “type” of food in the game i don’t know about or is it a bug ?
(the food i buy was “buff food” i hope this is what the quest mean)
later i buy “bottle of alcohol” still 0% on the quest

I had the same problem with the “daily feast” (which is the achievement you mean I guess). Tried food and drinks from the TP, different NPC, other players and madeby my character. Neither worked. Logged off and back in again and ported to another map before trying that all. Filed a bug report and a few hours later it worked.
No idea if that was affected by the time passing by or the bug report, but there is hope for you!
Last night in LA I held an impromptu 3 in 1 Daily Party ! :-) Placed tray’s of food all around the Mystic Forge. Put on my Witch’s costume and popped Cauldron’s all over too. For an hour and a half we had a riot! The only downer was, all the trays of food I dropped didn’t count toward the daily. I’d complain about the Gold loss but, it was a lot of fun.
Please fix this so all food counts. Also, while I have your attention, more brawl and food in the daily. It was a creative use of the daily and a lot of fun!!!! Hoping to host more party’s.
On a related note, is it a bug that you need to ‘eat’ 25 foods? The vast majority of foods out there give you buffs for at least 30 minutes. 25 foods equates to well over 12 hours of buffs.
This is not something most people would do in a normal day. Seems a little excessive for a daily and seems like the number should be 2-3.

Make sure you are using “food” and not just a “consumable”. Drinking a bottle of alcohol is clearly not food, that is a liquid and therefore a drink.

As long as you don’t wait for the buff to wear off then you’re fine. This is probably the easiest daily option there is. Buy 25 of the cheapest food on the trading post, which for me was like 3c each. Then spam click them till they’re all gone and you’re done.
While it may be easy to purchase the food cheap and eat it, it surely seems out of whack that 25 foods are required for the daily. It’s not about the cost, but just about the logic behind it.
If the intention of this daily was to encourage people to use and discover foods, 25 is too high of a number. 2-3 foods a day is more than enough.

I thought the same exact thing, what a waste of a consumable buff for a daily task. Sure, make it 2-3 (even 5 for that matter), but 25 seems a bit excessive. Most of the other dailies make complete sense, and are, like you pointed out, a learning tool it seems. This seems it’s a learning tool showing people who waste food, hehe.
I tried killing a few skelk to get and eat skelk eggs – no results for that. Went into town of Butcher Block and ate the meat there and drank some of the brew – again, no results. Since there are some places in-game to find food to eat or kill for things you can eat, please make those count too.
Nothing on this yet? I thought maybe the issue was the item has to be in your inventory first? Again, spent Gold on food trays. It was food that people ate. The functions label on the tray is literally “Eat”. It should work
