just before entering the 4th fractals map i disconnected from the game and was never able to login to my main character again, whenever i tried it would get stuck at loading screen and do one of the following
1-map loads endlessly ’nothing actually loads while having -maploadinfo on
2-an error saying the connection was lost 10-15 secs later
this is happening with only 1 character out of 5, which happens to be my main/only lvl 80 character, i can normally play with the rest

I’ve already communicated with the support team, they suggested solutions but none worked, eventually they accessed my account and moved the bugged character to another map, unfortunately the exact same problem still exists, just at a different map this time
when i told the support team that moving my character hasn’t helped i got no response, almost 2 days since their last response now
i don’t know if writing a topic here will speed up the process, but i sure hope it does.
I only returned to this game last week and this happening now&getting ignored by Anet support team is just disappointing,

have you tried guesting? I know it sounds silly because everywhere is megaserver, but it sometimes works for characters stuck like that (I’ve had the issue before).

yes, I’ve guested in over 10 servers since i started having this issue, did the party trick as well but none of those helped.
seems like my character just keeps connecting to the corrupt server even after it was moved to another map by Anet.

I’d contact support again about this. Let them know that you tried their suggestions but that you still can’t log onto that character.

Edit: ACtually, I see you already did let them know. Just keep waiting. If after another day (72 hours) they haven’t responded, post your support ticket # in this thread:

we got past the suggestions part, i gave them permission to log into my character, they did and moved it to another map ( no clue how)
i’ve sent 3 emails ever since telling them that it hasn’t worked ,including creating a new ticket, but i still haven’t gotten any response

You should close that new ticket, since your first one is still open. Creating that new one probably pushed you back. Like I said in my edit, wait about another day, and if they haven’t replied by then, post your ticket number in that thread so they’ll know you’re waiting.

I had the same issue, characters kept getting stuck in loading screens, and this fixed it. Hope it works for you too.

^The above, or you can try a -repair of the client, or adding -prefreset to your command line.
