OP, the issue is that nobody is 100% sure how to unlock them. So it’s either something you have yet to do, or a bug. I would first suggest that you fully complete the Dry Top story chapters (EDIT: and region) achievements, as that seems to be the most likely condition.

sigh, check this list “Ogden’s Ankh”, “Aspect Amulet” u can easily find “story journal mark” , it is not crafting items and I did all of story achiv. thx

Did you check the picture? like at all? otherwise i can just say you are trolling. So congrats? The Wiki is not god. The Wiki is not always correct. Nobody knows how to unlock the Nomad Amulets at the laurel merchant. I can buy them, but the OP cannot. Click on the picture, here ill attach it again for you. Those are clearly Nomad stats.

The only way to get them is not by crafting. Thank you much. I can buy them with Laurels. My mother can buy them with Laurels, My dad cannot. My guild mates are split between being able to and not being able to. The wiki says what it says because nobody knows how to unlock them at the Laurel merchant. Not because its the only way.

ALSO: You CANNOT Craft any ascended rings, accessory or trinkets. The ONLY way to get those is through Laurels, Fractal drops, OR guild commendations, but you cannot craft to get them.

So let me get this straight, the laurel vendors isn’t reliable and is bugged as hell, crafting is reliable. Wao, sounds like I was right after all. The only reliable way to get Nomad is through crafting.

And boohoo, exotic instead of ascended, what a shame :<

AGAIN: YOU CANNOT CRAFT ASCENDED TRINKETS, NECKLACES OR ACCESSORIES which is what the OP is referring to, NOT ARMOR OR WEAPONS, which you CAN Craft. If you COULD craft the Accessories, amulets, and rings i would agree with you. But you CANNOT.

And yes, for now. i do not have Wynnes locket as of yet and thats what she will be getting.

THIS is wrong. You CAN craft ARMOR and WEAPONS, but NOT the trinkets, accessories, or amulets, FOR ANYTHING, which is what the OP is looking for, which i can buy through laurels. Hey, thanks for keeping this up near the top of the page I didnt even bother reading that page in the first place because of how wrong it is anyways, as i said, wiki is not god. But you are a troll :P and not a really good one at that, if it seemed like i was mad i wasnt, i was busy laughing, because ultimately we both are keeping this thread on the front page. So thanks

Welp for one thing you didnt say reliable the first time, you didnt state that till much later. You said it was the only way, which isnt quite true, which is my point. Its not the only way, its the only way for exotics yes, for ascended no(At least when it comes to the point of this topic), the way to get ascended stuff is bugged it seems for quite a few people.

And i dont care, at least not about you, an anonymous person on the internet who i dont know in real life, at least i hope not. I do however care about this topic and this game quite a bit.

When the topic is on a stat and item that i and many others can get from a laurel merchant. While just as many cannot get that stat from and item from the laurel merchant despite them having do much much more. So yes, its a bug.

Yes thats usually what happens with at troll. Im sure they know about this, if they read the forums as often as they say they do. even though they havent said anything.

For an individualized response, you can contact the CS Team. A Dev response for each thread would be unusual, and likely not very productive.

Before I add my 2 cents on this bug, let me just say this is my favorite thread ever. In order to lay out all the facts we’ve gathered in this thread, let me summarize the conversation so far (hiding names to avoid calling people out, and paraphrasing liberally to keep it short and unintentionally hilarious)

   OP: Why aren’t the ascended nomad’s amulets available when I open laurel vendor?
   U: Nomad’s gear can only be crafted, read the wiki fool.
   PP: No, we’re talking about ascended amulets. They’re supposed to be available for laurels from the vendor—they aren’t crafted.
   U: Look at this irrelevant wiki article that shows exotic equipment acquisition methods by stats. It says you can only craft nomad’s gear. Told ya so, told ya so! xD Try reading next time.
   D: You can’t craft ascended trinkets. The nomad’s amulets are ascended trinkets. Many people can get them from the vendor, but for an unknown reason some people can’t.
   U: LOL I’m not going to read your reply. Re-read the wiki page I linked (the one about how to acquire exotic equipment based on stats). It says you can only craft nomad’s gear. xD

My input on the bug and the Ogden’s Ankh article’s anomaly note…

• I recently completed the relevant story journal achievements (mastery achievements for episodes 1-4) [so I definitely completed them after the introduction of ascended trinkets as rewards]
• I still can’t buy either amulet (Ogden’s Ankh and Aspect Amulet).
  • This suggests that the hypothesis given by the Ogden’s Ankh article is incorrect.

And of course, there are some people who haven’t completed any of the episode 1-4 mastery achivements, but who can nonetheless buy Ogden’s Ankh from the laurel vendor.

So, ArenaNet. Where are we on this bug? It is a bug, right? Or is there some hidden achievement we need to complete first? Was there some special sequence of “Nomad’s-unlocking” dance moves we were supposed to execute at 10:00 a.m. UTC on September 14 2014, and some of us just missed the party?
