I note with regret that my character has the face and eyes completely blacks, this is not my choice

Just adding on here, you’re not alone.

My character also gained a black face, also asura.

If you take the helm off, then put it back on after a few seconds, it should resolve the issue. This a bug though.

I get the same issue and always have to take the helmet of and put it back off its annoying.

Mine is an asura and has also experienced this bug although the face is red, not black. I tried removing the helm and putting it back on.
I tried to fix it by relogging.

I tried removing helm and relogging before putting it back on.

I tried putting a completely different helm on and changing the colors of the helm to white.

I tried changing the entire outfit to white and relogging.

None of these things worked.

Also, other people see it as red as well.

I have the same problem it started yesterday when I logged in, my face is dark brown. I cannot undo no matter what I try. I am also Asura.

anything on this? is there somewhere else to report this?

I went to make an Asura Engineer and the default face was all black. When I went to the face/hair options it is the hair in the center square that is causing the issue. The face color changes when you change the hair color. The other face/hair combos are fine.

Same here. Asura Engineer. Black face when i logged in oneday. Yes, everyone else can see this too. Please fix this. I know its not ground breaking……unless it happens to you

I’ve actually stopped playing until this is corrected. It has become really distracting.

Exactly this. Putting helmet on/off doesn’t changed it.

This just happen with me when i try to “preview” a helmet, but removing it always fix to me…

Asking for a fix as well. My poor Asura Engineer can’t get any lovin’ action until this is fixt.

So i just tried to make a new character after a saw this post, it seems like the head 5 gets the same color as the hair you choose, so if you choose your hair color to be yellow your head will become yellow aswell… Looks really weird…

this is apparently bigger than just a face/head selection, and it’s affecting several folk. it seems to have occurred in the last major patch, and it’s affecting a friend of mine. nothing is fixing it. may we have some acknowledgement of this as a problem?

This was definitely a result of the last patch.

From the screenshots in every thread about this issue, the asura affected all have the same hairstyle. Maybe that is interesting?

It looks like that is the common link. I can confirm, I have the same hair style. The other Asura I have created on my account with different hair styles do not have the problem.

I submitted a bug report, unfortunately I haven’t received a response. Anyone else?

I did the same and got a Email saying I had connection issues and how to fix them -.-
most likely the support got confused with the email address

I have the same problem with asura that has the same hairstyle. can we just get a solution from Anet please come on. atleast answer my support thing from days ago.

kinda sucks when ur main has no face when theres a zillion customization options you went through!

Same issue here, I also submitted a bug report in-game & had posted a seperate thread a few days ago.

This needs to be resolved. I’m sure they have a makeover type item they haven’t introduced into the cash shop yet, just give everyone affected one & remove the problematic hairstyle until it’s fixed or something.

This is one of the worst bugs I’ve ever seen in an MMO
