I just finished the jumping puzzle in Chaos Crystal Cave for the Orphans quest where i need to open a chest at the end of the puzzle, the problem is the Chest is already open:(

I has cost me 3 hours doing this hatefull puzzlle …twice but always the chest is open.

I just need that Sparkling Tinsel Ornament.

Same thing happened to me, I had to wait until the next reset ( 2 resets) before it closed again. I just parked my toon there, and played a different one til the next reset, so I didnt have to redo the jp

Great to hear; my toon is still standing next to the chest in the cave, but i have no idea when the reset happens.

Problem solved after reset.

Weyandt’s Revenge (Sharkmaw in LA) apparently has the same chest ID as Chaos Crystals. Only one of the two can be opened per day.

This has been reported before (although you can’t search back without external Google searches), and unfortunately is still not fixed.

Never mind forum search, it’s mentioned in the wiki (probably easier to keep tabs on it there ^^):

Bug: The Chaos Crystal Cavern Grand Chest is shared with the Weyandt’s Revenge Magnificent Chest. When one is opened, so is the other.

People were having similar issues with the Buried Archives jp in Cursed Shore, so presumably that’s part of a bugged pair as well.

Note that you don’t have to do specific jps to get these ornaments. Just make sure that you’re opening the right KIND of chest. For example, most people were doing Buried Archives to get the Orrian chest. I got my Gold Ball ornament (or whichever one it was) from an Orrian chest at the bottom of Hope Falls in Malchor’s Leap, which isn’t a jp at all. So have a look around, or rack your brains for any other chests that look like the one you’re trying to get, and try those other locations instead.
