I have done 2 events separately on fire island for collecting coalescence and got gold réward on both – but no credit on achievement ? bug

Same here. Didn’t get any credit on achievement for some reason.

There are “defend against destroyers before they absorb too much ley energy” type of events. Those count, not the following champion events.

The achievement’s description is:

Participate in each of the coalescence events around the island.

My “plain text” reading is that would mean fighting the champs, which are each called “coalescence.” Instead, ANet seems to want us to fight the “coalesce” events, in which the coalescence champs are formed.

I’d prefer if ANet relabeled these accordingly.

Anyhow, knowledge is power — I’ll know which events to call out (and go after).
