Dear Devs.

There is a bug that exists that when you alt tab and then double click on the GW2 icon that it becomes stuck in an infinite loop of minimizing and maximizing, to which the only way to fix it is to restart your computer.

I have no idea about the cause of this bug but it has happened on more than one occasion.

Edit:
*Game is run on a medium to low end PC (but either way it’s a bug)
*Task-manager does not work when in this state
*Game does not crash so windows doesn’t force stop it
*Might be caused by full-screen mode

Try only clicking once, rather than double-click (whilst awaiting a fix)? I’ve never encountered this ‘bug’, but I’ve never double-clicked to maximize GW2 from the minimized state, either. (I use alt-tab all the time and for every loading screen.)

I dont think I even can doubleclick at all, i press alt tab, and then as long as i hold alt i cycle through open apps with tab or click once on the right tab

yeah, i do usually click once. But, on the time that i actually do accidentally click twice it goes into this state. My game goes into this state because when i alt-tab the screen lingers for a while so there is a chance for me to click twice. I guess the solution is to click once only, but accidentally clicking twice and having to restart your computer is a bit ridiculous.

*edit: I run the game in full screen so maybe that’s why it lingers

Oh, and here’s a thought:

When you accidentally double-click and you get in the loop, have you tried using Task Manager to close the game, rather than rebooting the computer?

Yes, i have tried it but the constant maximization and minimization of the program makes it so that the task manager is no-longer visible or usable.

*edit: alt+f4 doesn’t work either
