Hi,
A bunch of us were playing Capricorn PvP map. Early on we had a teammate who d/c and didn’t play the map at all (idk if relevant). 4v5 all game, then it finished.
A lot of us tried to click right arrow to leave but could not leave (nothing happened, we were still in the map).

I suggested to logout to character select, but then pressing “Play” on any character didnt work!. I closed GW2 completely, and now I can login to character select, but then upon clicking “Play” I get “The game client is unable to access the login server at this time”

Yep. Same with Lions Arch. Could port inside zone, but could not leave the zone. Tried logging out to see if patch. Now, cant login.

Having same issue but I was in Straits of devasation.

Just did a map on coliseum same same thing happened.

I’m having the same issue here as well.

Having similar issues from pve as well, a good portion of the people in my LA instance couldn’t enter wvw, pvp or wp to other maps. I logged out and also can’t get back in. Something wrong with the login servers I assume?

pretty sure i’m that “teammate” who didn’t get into that map. i’m stuck on login as well. lol.

This seems to be a general problem. My guild was doing guild missions, and then we found we couldn’t use waypoints. A couple of us tried relogging, and we can’t get into the game – we can get to the character select screen, but we get an error on trying to choose a character.

EDIT: Apparently, we’ve also tested changing maps using portals and the like – no means of changing maps seems to be working.

This is happening to me too. My whole team hit accept to join together because we did good and then none of us could get out of the match. Now when i log back in i hit “play” but then get disconnected. This is very annoying…

Something similar just happened to me. Was playing just fine on my revenant and was about to run a dungeon with some guildies. went to change to my necromancer to take on the run and all of a sudden was getting the same error. Checked my firewall like it said (Not that i believe for a second that is the problem since i was just on just fine) and tried again and still got that error.

It’s not just you, and not just PvP. Both a friend and I were suddenly unable to move between maps, then were disconnected and unable to return to the game. We are both stuck at the character select screen.

Happening for me too I was just in Kessex Hills and was moving to Ember Bay on my mesmer but was kicked out and now can’t get back in same error popping up.

Same issue, couldn’t leave my Personal Story Instance, even using the usual workarounds, logged out, now can’t play

Looks like it’s a system wide issue. We’re going to have to be patient until the right people learn about the issue and fiddle with whatever buttons and levers to adjust things.

Same here in PVE. Tried to WP to Mount Maelstrom and it would just take me back to my character in The Grove. Now I’m getting a server error while trying to log in but everything worked earlier today. I’m sure its the GW2 servers and we’ll just have to keep trying or wait it out.

Same, as I’m stuck in Hoelbrak. Also I’m seeing error code 42:5:18:341:101 come up.

I am also getting this message under similar circumstances. I was in WvW, logged out and can go through entire login, but when I press “Play” it hangs for a bit then says “The game client is unable to gain access to the login server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connection through a campus network. For additional support, please visit http://support.guildwars2.com. (Code=42:4:11:143:101)”

Happened to a group of us in Fractals. People were either stuck in the Mistlock Observatory or stuck in Lion’s Arch. I can log in now but I can’t play.

Same here. Saw the error below “InstanceCreate failed” and I couldn’t travel anywhere or leave the story instance I was in. Now clicking the “Play” button on any character won’t work and I cannot access the game.

The speculation: login servers crashed or are otherwise …engaged in other business.

Same problem logging in for me.

I just went to play some more ,and like the rest of you when trying to hit the play button it just stays grayed out. Then I get the message telling me it can’t connect.

I’ll throw my hat in, got the same thing. I had a few hard stutters in Queensdale, transitioned to the next map and was trying to go into a story instance and got an InstanceCreated error that I submitted. Tried relogging and got a couldn’t reach login server. was able to sign into client, but the error showed at char select.

Yep pretty much just blocks you from logging into a character not into the game itself.

Funny thing that happened to me was, I logged on to my alt, and to my surprise the meta of AB was going on but my alt was in a failed map of Tarir where the chests are and I see all these people running around getting chests, but I’m freaking out because I don’t see any grand chests. I then find a taxi to a successful map SOMEHOW am able to switch. Then Open one chest on the new map, and then my whole squad says they cant switch maps/wp, including myself. I think what happened was the auto tele out of tarir was even broken and thats how I was able to be in the failed chest area for so long, and see other people running around there too. I have no idea how I was able to swap to a new map quick before the WP system went totally kaput.

Yep, this is happening to me too. Can get into the character screen but when I hit play I get the same error message.

Same issue… I was playing in Veridant Brink and then got stuck so I tried logging out and then trying to log back in. It won’t let me log in either. My son was doing an instance (Living World Season 3) he couldn’t leave the instance and then crashed completely out of it. He can’t log in either.

I am having the same issue, but in Auric. Waypoints out side of Auric and portals to other maps do not work.
Other guildies trying to log in get error message: 42:4:11:143:101.

no-one from my guild can get in, and they’re all over the place. Some were already in WvW but not getting experience/participation.

I can’t login currently either, I get to character select, but when I click play, it says error connecting to servers, etc… please fix X_X

I think it might be coming back up now guys. Instead of getting the log in error it says “Guild wars 2 is full you have been placed into a queue.”

I haven’t had nearly enough to drink for this crap lol
