Guild Wars 2

So Ive been having trouble with the estate of decay story line. I get right to the end where fighting the Mouth. I get rid of all the guards and the mouth is just about to die and the room resets. All the guards come back full strength and so does the mouth. I have tried several times and cant get past this. Any ideas?

Well, the guards are supposed to come back when the Mouth reaches 50% health. I’ve never heard of them coming back when he’s almost dead, though. The risen couriers also heal him if they’re allowed to get to him, but again, I’ve never heard of them full healing him from almost dead. So, I’m not sure what’s happening.

I only have the 3 allies when I get to the mouth and they all die almost immediately so it is just me and my ranger pet for most of the time. Even if I revive them they die almost right away again.
I have tried several different approaches and just cant seem to finish it. Ive tried to bully in quick and kill the mouth first, kill the guards first, kill the ones feeding him, on and on.
Ive done this before with a different character and didn’t have any problems. Ive spent hours on this and cant seem to get past it. : (

Well, what I’ve done before is just camp behind that pillar on the right side of the room. That way I can snipe down the guards and the couriers as needed, and I can also damage the Mouth. Once you get all the guards down, your allies get revived, and I usually go in and DPS him down as much as I can then. Once he brings his guards back, I’ll go back behind the pillar and repeat until he’s dead.
