The hard cap fps specified by the -fps command line argument isn’t applied properly now.

The frame rate specified is applied during the character selection and loading screens but is overridden by the GUI’s frame limiter (30/60/unlimited) setting during gameplay.

Yeah, I observed that behavior too. It’s still current. As soon as I select a character and the map loads, the FPS parameter stops having an effect and the in-game options setting is used. The parameter works only while in the character selection screen.

That’s probably why it’s a parameter; otherwise there could’ve been a slider in the options to adjust it more freely, but 30 / 60 FPS is probably said to be good enough and everything else is not maintenanced for being correctly implemented.

I’d actually love that parameter to work again to not grill my computer in summer and still play at kinda-fluent 40 FPS (much better than 30). If I limit it to 60, my PC just gets too hot.
