Guild Wars 2

When I want to interact with characters, clicking on them with my mouse does nothing. Normally it would target them, and I could see their health bar and all that good stuff, but now, the only way I can interact with anyone is to walk up to them until I’m close enough for it to say “greet” or any of those options. If I want to fight a creature, I have to press “tab” in order for it to target them. This makes it difficult when there’s multiple creatures I’m fighting and I can’t target the one I want to. It wasn’t always like this; yesterday it worked fine, I could click on characters without a problem, but this issue started today. I looked in the in-game options but I couldn’t find anything to resolve this issue. Anyone know how to solve this?

I’ve had this issue once before, my solution was to just relog… Was fine after that.

It’s been 2 years, but this bug is still occurring so I’ll add on a bit more info in hopes of helping pinpoint where the problem lies — yay possible repro steps!

I’ve had it happen to me midgame — in case it matters, I attached a screenshot of where my location was when it happened. I clicked on a distant risen in Bloodtide Coast to use Leap of Faith on so I could move along more quickly, then ran past it and lost sight of it. After losing sight of it, I ran up to the Vigil guys and that’s when I noticed I couldn’t click to target anyone else.

A full restart (exit to desktop then relog) fixed it.
