i recently was trying to mail a crafted exotic to a friend and the item dissappeared from my inventory no do u want to discard this item message or anything is there going to be an item restore function implemented eventually

no it acted like the item was dropped but never got the confirm drop message

I had this same issue today. I was dragging an exotic item from the bank slot to a mail message. When I dropped it into the mail message slot the item disappeared on me. I checked the bank and then my inventory and also looked at the mail message, but it was completely gone. No pop up message or anything. I sent in a defect report on it. Did you send one in? If so, did you hear back?
