I have just tried to link a specific item (won’t tell which one publicly) in guild chat, and at that exact moment all my guild members (including me) crashed simultaneously.

I already have reported the bug in game.

Of course, I didn’t try to reproduce it and I surely won’t exploit it in any way! Do I have to pm someone to give additional details?

You should email ArenaNet directly and include all possible information on the exploit so it can be fixed.

Otherwise, you can also file a support ticket (selecting Ask A Question in the top middle) and include all possible information on the exploit.

This bug is old, and I know for fact has been reported by someone in my guild, I believe he mentioned reporting it more than once. Completely game breaking bug that can allow someone to crash people at will. Their is a running joke in the guild to get the guildy invited into other guilds during WvW and link something; I repeat that it is a joke and does not actually happen. The OP’er is not blowing smoke and the bug does exist and it blows my mind that it has not seemed to be taken seriously. I would think instant game crashing bugs that can be reproduced at will would have a little more attention drawn to it.
To clarify, it is not item specific. I believe any item causes it.
