Guild Wars 2

since the most recent patch(es), i’ve had higher than normal disconnects, as well as MAJOR (like, 5-10 seconds minimum) lag spikes. now, my husband’s computer has all these handy little gadgets on them, one of which monitors our internet connection for spikes. the funny thing is, playing the game on his computer and watching these monitors? they’re not blipping. but, to be sure, i shut everything down, started it again, ran a few pings … everything matched what i was seeing on the gadgets. so, started playing again … and omg, lag spikes and disconnects.

guys. this is causing me to DIE, literally, in game. it’s annoying, it’s costing me money in armor repairs, and it’s REALLY going a long way toward making the game unplayable.

I’ve been getting them as well, in the starting ascalon zone. Started after last patch.

WvW is pretty much unplayable at the moment. As soon as i start fighting even against 1 single player, my fps hit the ground and i start lagging all over the place without being able to get any skill off.

I’m getting huge lag spikes right now. What I type in chat takes 30 sec to show up.

i’m having the lag spikes too. Sometimes even 30 sec till even 1 minute. I cant use any of my skills etc… Tonight again in Arah.. happens everywhere to me. i’m on desolation server by the way, no idea if it matters..

I’m also having the same problem, it’s just impossible to finish some(all) dungeons. On top of that I’m running on an AMD arquitecture so the game runs very crappy

Problem is not constant for me by any means but it does hit intermittently and is quite infuriating when it does. Other people in my guild are getting it much worse … to the extent that one member actually stops playing for the night when the lag spikes hit.

About these lagspikes and disconnects, try running gw2 in compatibility mode – If that doesn’t work, switch it back again and try again (Yes, seriously). Good luck
