Guild Wars 2

Hello. I don’t know if this has been addressed already. But in the last week (since my latest mac os system upgrade) I cannot play for more than ten minutes (usually much less) without freezing up. Often I can’t get past the character select screen. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this? One person suggested switching to bootcamp PC version. But would I lose my mac-based characters doing so? Any thoughts/tips would be much appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. I log in, start the game, choose a character and then the game crashes after loading. I notice this happens far more in the major city locations (Black Citadel being the worst offender). I have not tried using Boot Camp to try the Windows version yet, but I’m thinking of doing it just to see if it works.

There was a bug before that caused that…you needed to set your animations to “medium”. Helped me

Just tried out the switching the animations to Medium. It did not help. I get in the game, take 3 to 8 steps and the game crashes.

thanks for replies. FWIW I tried setting everything to lowest possible frame rate etc. and still no joy. It tends to happen more often in cities for me as well, and in wvw. Does anyone know if you keep the same characters etc. if you switch to PC version ?
