mail only on first character you log in with?

I logged in with a level 1 character I wanted to delete, and saw my mail had 2. I never opened my ingame mail, then logged out and deleted the level 1 character. I logged in with another character that I am leveling and i have no new mail. Those 2 mails are now gone and I never opened them. So I do not have the 20%. I sent in a bug report.
what to do?
