Location: open world, dungeons (and probably the rest of the maps)
Frequency: rare (bug encountered 5 times a month)
State: combat, out of combat
Efect: downed or defeated character isn’t interactive and it isn’t possible to revive it

So far I know it’s relatively old bug that strikes random players upon being downed or defeated. People who are trying to REVIVE downed character affected by bug aren’t able to do se. Even in closest proximity and pressing “f” key doesn’t have any effect.

In the open world maps it’s a minor issue, but inside Fractal of the mysts it significantly affects gameplay. None from the party members were able to revive.

It’s not really a revive specific issue. The problems seems more to do with a positional desync between clients. Reviving and finishing people off are probably the most noticeable.

A friend was doing PvP the other day and got downed in the middle of a teleport. The enemy couldn’t finish him because he was showing up at the wrong location. At least with finishing you could use regular attacks if you can figure out the location(minions/pets can be helpful with that).

This is an ancient bug, it happens due to client/server sync issues and animation length.

When a player is downed on the move (think Claw of Jormag Crash Landing achievement) the server records the actual location of their initial downed state, but the animation puts the character farther away. This creates the scenario where you have to find where the players’ ghost is and res them there instead of where your client is telling you they are, but sometimes their ghost is farther away from the character and you can’t “F” them anymore because the interactions are character location based.

This is infinitely and reliably reproducible at Claw of Jormag. I imagine it’s a much worse problem in fractals/dungeons than in open world where you’re just a waypoint away.
