net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
Same with me, I tried sending in a notice to support but no word in the past 8 hours from any source.
I am having the same problem as well also submitted a ticket, hope they come up with a fix soon.
Exact same message here
Same here, relogging, and changing to another character had no result. For the heck of it I ran a diag, and this showed up. I can’t help but wonder if the failed address is that of the TP.

same problem here :’(
Same here, chaning DNS didn’t help aswell
Check your antivirus. Espacially if you have Comodo.
Find file “CoherentUI_Host.exe” and add it to the trusted files.
(probably you have that file in a sandbox).

yeeeee now work.Ty so much
I helped figure this out the other night just after patch release/hotfix with a ANET representative. The problem (in the end) was my anti-virus program. Add this>>
CoherentUI_Host.exe
to your trusted files in your anti-virus software (if you have comodo there will be a little arrow that u click (barely visible down the bottom middle under the “trusted files” section, click “add file”, browse till you find the .exe
I also allowed the gw2.exe (Guild Wars 2 Game Client) in the windows firewall setting & clicked properties on the shortcut to gw2.exe “run as admin” & run in compatibility mode with windows 7 << not sure if this last bit made any difference but I did it anyways & its helped for other games I’ve had issues with in the past.
Hope that helps! Happy gaming!!! =D

Indeed, it was in COMODO’s Sandbox! Thank you, kind sir!
antivirus problem, the same problem, but fixed. I have a dresser, pressed not to isolate the desired file.
Had the same problem. BUT i think it shouldnt have happened in the first place Anet :/
I closed all the COMODO processes, I made an exception for the windows firewall, but it does keep showing that message errore.
What can I do now?
Edit: and, another strange thing, now the client doesn’t save my password, even if the box is checked. Everytime I start gw2 (in administrator mode or not) it asks me the password. Before the Feature Pack it didn’t.

From what I know, even if you shut down all running process’s comodo will still run in the background & affect your programs/games (I believe it will still block whatever has been identified as a potential or possible threat to your PC). My advice is to leave comodo “on” and in “secure mode” so that windows/comodo prompts you to allow the program when u load it up.
You need to also ensure CoherentUI_Host.exe has been added to the “trusted files” in the comodo anti virus program and that it hasn’t been sandboxed or isolated/limited. Also ensure gw2.exe has been added to the “trusted files” in comodo.
If you’ve clicked properties on the shortcut to gw2.exe & have ticked “run as administrator” & run in compatibility mode for windows 7 & that still hasn’t helped, try instead finding the actual gw2.exe in the gaming folder & doing the same thing & executing the file directly from the game folder instead of the shortcut. >>>Do the same for the CoherentUI_Host.exe << (properties on the file, run as admin/compatibly for windows 7). This will cover all your bases.
At this point try to load it again, if it still doesn’t work then you may also want to untick the “enable realtime scan” option (temporarily) to see if you can get the game functioning properly as the active scan can block the CoherentUI_Host.exe too. Hope this helps?

Thank you very much! It did help me a lot! I can see the TP now. I will find out what makes the bug to show up by activating one by one all the things you suggested. Thank you again. I will report as soon as possible, hoping it could help.
i have the same problem
Thanks for the help. It was indeed Comodo -_-
Well im having the same problem and for gods sake its driving me insane !!! I have COMODO, and i think i put the CoherentUI_Host.exe on Trusted List but the error “net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED” still persists… well first of all, i wasnt capable of finding the CoherentUI_Host.exe file to put on trusted list… i exported the file trough COMODO and than i added in trusted files… the error is still there… after i tried to open the GEM STORE… i closed the game, than i opened COMODO again and guess what… the CoherentUI_Host.exe application from Coherent Labs was in “Unknown Files” … what i did was Move that file to Trusted Applications… still not working -.-’

Anarkis, it sounds to me like you’ve accidently missed something along the way. If I ever mess up on anything I’m doing with my system I always do a “system restore”, usually that will undo anything you did & allow you to re-try what you were trying to accomplish.
I’ll go through it once more (step by step), I suggest you do all of this to cover all your bases as it sounds like its working for other players>>
-find gw2.exe in your games folder, click properties, click the “compatibility tab”, ensure it says “run in compatibility with windows 7” and that it is ticked, also ensure that the “run this program as an administrator” is ticked, now click “apply” and then “ok”.
-find CoherentUI_Host.exe repeat the exact same process as above!
Now for Comodo:>>
-Ensure its set on “Advanced View”
-Open the Comodo Viewing Box, top right corner you will see a little tab that either says “Tasks” or “Home”, click on “Tasks”.
-There will be 3 bars listed from top to bottom>> General Tasks, Sandbox Tasks & Advanced Tasks, expand the “Advanced Tasks”
-Click on “Open Advanced Settings” which is located bottom right corner
-Now click the “Security Settings” tab and expand it
-Click “File Rating” tab and expand it
-Click “Trusted Files” tab
-Down the bottom of the screen (almost at the very bottom) there will be a little “Grey Arrow” which you can click on, click it!
-Click on “Add”, then click on “Files”, browse until you find gw2.exe, select it & click “Open”, then click “OK” down the bottom right corner.
-Repeat this same process with CoherentUI_Host.exe >> “Add”, “Files”, browse for the file, select it & click “Open”, then click “OK” down the bottom right corner.
One final step you should ensure is correct….>>
-click “Start” or as its identified now in Windows 7 “Windows 7 button” the bottm left corner of the screen, click “Control Panel”, find “Windows Firewall Settings”, then click “Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall”, scroll down until you find “Guild Wars 2 Game Client”, ensure that it is allowed & that both box’s are ticked next to it, then click “OK” down the bottom.
K all done, if you’ve done everything correctly, the game should now function. Hope this guide helped?
Similar problem but with no error message. Logged a call yesterday but no change. An announcement from ArenaNet as to what is going on would be a small step, at least.
CJH, thanks so much, it can finally sell my stuff again ^^
