relog -> back to LA
I’ve been getting an issue very similar to this, too.
Since I’ve been going for 100% World Comp on my Ranger, I’ve noticed that if I zone into another zone and quickly return, even if I trek halfway across the zone I’ve returned to, when I log out/back in, I’ll be at the beginning of the zone, or rather, at the entrance of where I had zoned in from.
The exact incident I had is that I went from Diessa Plateau to Wayfarer’s to get the Cragstead PoI, then quickly hopped back into Diessa because I wasn’t done yet. I go halfway into that zone, kill a few Skales, then get called away — no biggie. I log off, come back an hour or so later, and bam, I’m standing right by the Fort next to the portal (or entrance) to Wayfarer’s, leagues away from where I had logged out. It really makes playing this game’s PvE in short bursts extremely annoying, considering that I’m one of those players who detests using WPs unless they’re absolutely necessary or when I’m feeling /really/ lazy.
I’m also getting the same issue where my character gets reloaded near traders forum. It doesn’t happen all the time and its not really a big issue, but can get a little annoying sometimes. I uploaded a short video regarding the problem right here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC0Do_0Ba6U
I noticed that this doesn’t only occur at LA but other maps as well. At Harathi Hinterlands I would get ported near shieldbuff wp and at Iron Marches, I’d be ported near Dewclaw wp.
This also affects when I’m in hotm. My characters would relog into LA.
